FAQs

“Is there a specific body type you need to start wrestling?”

No! Wrestling is a rewarding sport for all ages and body types. There are 13 weight classes in High School wrestling ranging from 101 (girls)/106 (boys) to 235 (girls)/285 (boys).

“Do I have to show up to all the practices?”

Our wrestling club is off-season, which means there are no mandatory practices or events. Once you purchase the 3-month plan, you can come and go as you, please!

“Are there off-season tournaments?”

Of course, there are! Depending on the level of you or your athlete, we promote the idea of wrestling at off-season tournaments to see how much you’ve improved! Our coaches will accompany your wrestlers if they compete at these tournaments. To wrestle at these tournaments, you need a USA wrestling card, which is about $40. You can buy it here HERE.

“Do I need a USA Wrestling Membership?”

Yes, since we are a USA Wrestling Club, we REQUIRE all of our members to have a USA Wrestling Membership/Card. The FAQ above has a link that will take you there to create an account!

“What will the wrestlers be learning?”

Our club coaches, Royal and Kiely Tabaldo, have a set curriculum for beginner wrestlers who want to learn the sport, allowing them to practice and eventually compete at the high school level. Our coaches work personally with the more experienced students and understand what moves or techniques they may need to improve, or that may work well with them and their style.
